The Robert E. Howard Museum in Cross Plains held a 3-day event celebrating his writings and works that have lived on for decades. Even to this day, various pieces of work and pictures of Howard are still being discovered. People from all over the world come to Cross Plains to research Howard's life and writings, right where it all took place.
Robert E. Howard is the creator of Conan the Barbarian, Soloman Kane and many more historic pieces of work.
And right down the street, the annual Barbarian Festival was also being held. Hundreds made their way out to Cross Plains to partake in outdoor activities and carshow. A few dozen vehicles were on display, all in a variety of colors and styles. The festival is typically held the same weekend as the Robert E. Howards days event.
