Book Sale Ends with a Bang

Hundreds lined outside of the Civic Center this afternoon for the end of the friends of the library book sale. As the sale wrapped up with it's annual bag book sale, more locals than normal were loading up on books, which shows that reading books is still big in the community.

"It shows you that the printed word is not dead. I mean, look at all these book lovers in here. Everybody has a choice of formats, but the printed page is still very popular. Especially in our community," said Ricki Brown, city librarian.

The book sale is an annual event to raise money for the library, and the amount raised will be announced at a luncheon this Wednesday.
