3 Men Killed in Runnels Co. Collision

A car crash in Runnels County claimed the lives of three people on Sunday.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, 20-year-old Juan Ramirez of Winters, 21-year-old Antonio Espino of Winters, and 32-year-old Brandon Scott Cochran of San Angelo were killed in a two-vehicle crash at 6:00 Sunday morning on Farm Road 2887 just south of US Highway 83.

Ramirez was driving a 2003 Chevy Impala northbound on Farm Road 2887 when his vehicle drifted into the oncoming lane, colliding with a 2006 Chevy Trailblazer driven by Quinton Christopher Collins of Winters, who was not injured in the crash, according to the report.

Ramirez was pronounced dead at the scene and taken to Winters Funeral Home. He was wearing a seat belt.

Espino was pronounced dead at Shannon Medical Center in San Angelo and was taken to Winters Funeral Home. He was not wearing a seat belt.

Cochran was also pronounced dead at Shannon Medical Center, but was taken to Lange Funeral Home in Ballinger. He was not wearing a seat belt.

This crash remains under investigation.
