Dr. Cassidy McBrayer, the district's new chief academic officer, will present the information.
Superintendent Dr. Randy Brown said today that districts will not receive state ratings since this is the first year for the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) tests.
"So at this point, it's hard for us to determine how well we did since we don't have anything to compare it with. We will be comparing scores with other districts in our area and at a later board meeting, we'll compare that data to data from across the state," Brown said. "We have no ideas how it (the scores) will affect us as far as AYP (the federal adequate yearly progress report) goes and won't know for quite some time."
In action items, the board will hold a closed session to discuss personnel and reconvene to consider the contracts of new employees.
Trustees also will vote on the Internet safety policy as well as declaring two buses as surplus and authorize their sale. Each bus has been in service for more than 100,000 miles.
Board members also will recognize students who advanced to state competitions in academics and athletics and hear several reports, including finances, construction and renovation as well as the budget.
Trustees will meet in the high school cafeteria.
