The Abilene Ruff Riders are getting to head down the home stretch of the Lone Star Football League schedule. The Ruff Riders enter their final 4 games with a 3-3 record and they are right in the thick of the race for a playoff berth. The week off came at a good time and they put it to good use.

"It came at a great time for us, there is four games left and now we are in a position to kind of relax, both their bodies and their  minds a little bit," Says Head Coach Joe Brannen, "It's been a grueling season. We haven't had a bye week since week 1 and now we can make that push."

"We're an 18 man roster so we need to stay healthy. So it was good to have everybody rest and get back in the weight room so we can maintain our bodies. We watched some film and worked on some things that we did wrong." Adds Chuck Palonis.

The Ruff Riders play their final road game of the season on Saturday night in Amarillo. They kick off against the Amarillo Venom at 7pm.
