'Cat in the Hat' Statue set for Unveiling

A Cat in the Hat sculpture has been officially accepted by the City just in time for the Dr. Seuss-themed Children's Art and Literacy Festival.

The statue stands in the park near North First and Pine Street.

The Abilene Cultural Affairs Council will officially unveil the statue in a public ceremony Thursday night at 6:30.

The statue will remain in the park permanently.
