Hendrick Cancer Research Center Helps Improves Lives In The Big Country

According to the world health organization, there are more than one hundred different types of cancer, but the most shocking fact is that over thirty percent of cancers could be cured if detected early and treated adequately.

We visited with Dr. Jose Vega from Hendrick Medical Center who says, "Hendrick Medical Center just recently joined a large research group. This research group is part of a nation wide initiative to improve cancer care."

"We are very happy to provide state of the art treatments that are not available everywhere. Where as before people would have to drive to Dallas or all the way to Houston, but now we can give the best treatment here in Abilene.", explains Dr. Vega.
