Neecees College of Cosmetology received the Small Business Administration award for the 2012 Minority Small Business champion of the year.

Joyce Denise Ayers has only been open for just a couple of years and she says if she can do it anyone can.
She was nominated for the award by the Texas Tech Small Business Development Center.

Ayers also said it was her childhood dream to open a school.
