Updated: June 18, 2012
An Odessa man was handed down a 2-year sentence for his role in stealing cigarettes from a Snyder convenience store. The felony theft charge was a state jail offense.

Edward Vaughn Decker, 39, was given the sentence in exchange for his guilty plea this week in District Judge Ernie B. Armstrong's 132nd District courtroom.

In addition to his sentence, Decker was ordered to pay $2,904.75 in restitution, a $1,500 fine and $804 in court and attorney fees.

Decker's plea was for a March 27, 2011 theft from Stripes Convenience Store in Snyder.
