Play Faire Park to Celebrate 65 Years in Abilene

Play Faire Park is celebrating its 65th birthday on July 1. Various events will be held around the park to celebrate its commitment to the entertainment scene of Abilene and to encourage people to go outside and play.

The birthday celebration kicks off at 2 p.m. July 1 with a two-person, 36-hole miniature golf tournament. Entry is $12, with prizes awarded to the winners.

The birthday party begins at 7 p.m. with a concert featuring that band. and the Clayton Stewart Band. A cake-cutting will take place at 8 for those in attendance.

Other events include an air castle, bean bag toss and the Amazing Randy Blain Naylor, a magician and balloon artist.

Customers are encouraged to wear tye-dye or Hawaiian shirts as part of the celebration.
