Children's Art & Literacy Festival Sees Success

Updated: June 18, 2012
The Children's Art and Literacy Festival was a smashing success over the weekend.

The festivities downtown included readings of Dr. Seuss classics and even a special Father's Day event at the Abilene Zoo.

A cultural affairs representative says the fun brought in around $10,000 benefiting the Art for Hearts Foundation.

Just in case you haven't had your fill of Dr. Suess fun, there will be one last craft event going on Monday evening at the south Abilene library at 6:00.
