Scurry Co. Commissioners to Review Burn Ban

By: Snyder Daily News
Updated: June 19, 2012
Scurry County commissioners will consider reinstating the burn ban when they meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

Scurry County has not been under a burn ban since it was lifted by commissioners on May 15. Since then, Snyder has received about 2.5 inches of rain.

The court also will hear a presentation from representatives of Scantiva, a company being considered for the historical records preservation project.

The court also will consider adopting the archive fee of $5 for new or modified civil cases to help offset the cost of the records project.

Condley and Company will present the 2011 financial report, and the court will consider the replacement of aging network servers and software.

Commissioners will meet in the county courtroom.
