We've also told you about the rocket camp hosted by Abilene's Academy of Technology, Engineering, Math and Science at the TSTC campus in Abilene.....
Now children in Dallas are getting a chance to learn about rockets.
At the summer flight school at the Frontiers of Flight museum in Dallas, they call them patriot rockets.
They're modeled after the patriot missile - even though these children aren't old enough to remember the war stories of Operation Desert Storm.
The camp offers many great opportunities for the children.
For instance, they built their rockets from scratch.
These campers are learning the art and the science of flight.
They even get to try out a special flight simulator.
This simulator was built by Captain Kenneth Branscome - a Marine Corp Pilot who flew more than 60 bombing missions during the Korean war.
Many of these day campers have been coming to the summer flight school for years.
There's eight different aviation camps and each one is designed for children from age of four to high school seniors.
