Webcast: 'Fortnight of Freedom' to Kick Off Thursday

The bishop at the Catholic Diocese of San Angelo this morning announced a time of prayer for the nation.

The "Fortnight of Freedom" is scheduled to begin tomorrow and continue through July 4.

The diocese issued a statement this morning from Bishop Michael Pfeifer.asking the priests and all of the members of the diocese to pray for the nation.

The statement urges people to pray for what the author calls the most cherished liberty, the freedom of religion.

The church celebrates June 21 as a day of feasts in honor of Christian martyrs.
