A happily married couple, a spinster, an architect, retired army major.... and a murder!  What happens when you mix this crazy cast of characters together in the middle of a snowstorm? You end up with the next hit show from the Abilene Community Theatre, "The Mousetrap."

"It's kind of crazy," says cast member Jake Wade, who plays the architect Christopher Wren. "One young couple comes together and they decide they're going to open up a lovely little guest house."

But what the pair ends up getting is much more than they could have ever expected.

"They have four guests come in to stay and each of them have a secret of their own," explains Wade.

The plot thickens even more after news surfaces of a possible murder staying in the guest house.

"A sergeant comes in and tries to fix the situation and in the end one of the cast members actual does die," Wade reveals.

According to Wade the entire play contains unexpected twists and turns bent on keeping the audience on the edge of their seat until the very end.

"It has a little bit of everything," says Ginger Vinson, Assistant Director for the Abilene Community Theatre. "I mean there is comedy, there is drama, there are touching moments, there are angry moments... It's a fantastic play!"
