Taylor Co. Commissioners Allowing Sale of Fireworks

By: BigCountryHomePage.com Staff Reports
Updated: June 20, 2012
Residents in Taylor County will be able to celebrate the 4th of July with fireworks this year.

Taylor County Commissioners met Tuesday and took no action on banning the sale of fireworks, as was done last year around this time.

Fireworks are permitted outside of city limits and on private property only.

There is no current burn ban, but there are still weather dangers present.

Firefighters urge anyone thinking about using fireworks to take weather conditions into consideration.

Discharging fireworks on a county road or right of way is a misdemeanor offense.
