"I said mommy, mommy, and fire," says 6-year old J.J.

J.J. knew he had to act quickly to get his mom and two younger sisters out of their burning house.

He says, "I told them to get out let's go!"

As they were running away from the house, a resident nearby was running toward the house.

"Just make sure everybody was okay, that was my main concern. Then just helping the kids, they were scared," says Scott Fenwick.

J.J admits before the fire started, he was probably doing something he shouldn't have been.

"Me and my sister were playing with the fire," J.J. says.

He says he got the lighter out of his aunt's purse.

"They said we don't supposed to play with fire and I did," he says.

Although he knows what he was doing was wrong, he's just a small child.

Which is why Scott Fenwick wanted to help in any way he could.

He brought them stuffed animals and bubbles to play with, to help keep their mind off of the fact that their belongs were being destroyed.

"Somebody might do the same for me. Just do it for the kids," says Fenwick.

The kids may not fully understand the ramifications of what happened, but they do know that their life will not be the same.

J.J. says, "No more toys and no more clothes."
