Man Accused of Sexually Assaulting Elderly Woman Set for Trial

A 20-year-old man arrested and charged with sexually assaulting an elderly woman in Anson is set to go to trial today.
Police arrested Taylor Dewayne Dering in April on an aggravated sexual assault charge after they say he knocked on the door of an 88-year-old woman's home and sexually assaulted her.
At the time of the incident, Dering was out on bond after being arrested for aggravated sexual assault of a child in east Texas, a charge for which he was awaiting trial and wearing an ankle monitor.
Anson Police and Panola County Sheriff's officers worked together to track him down.
