Public Meeting on Elm Creek Flood Risk Management Set for Tuesday

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Worth District and the City of Abilene will host a public meeting in Abilene, Texas on June 26 at 6 p.m. to discuss the Elm Creek Flood Risk Management Feasibility Study.

The study will help identify and investigate water resource related problems such as flood risk management, while continuing to provide a consistent natural ecosystem. The meeting will give the public an opportunity to identify and provide information on floodplain issues.

The meeting will be held at the City Council Chambers, 555 Walnut Street 2nd floor, Abilene, Texas 79601. Registration will be from 5:30 p.m. to 6 p.m., with the meeting beginning at 6 p.m. The meeting's agenda will begin with a presentation and follow with a general question and answer session.
