The evening will begin around 5:00 with games and races for the kids, a watermelon seed spitting contest, cow chip toss, homemade ice cream and just some good old fashioned visiting with neighbors and friends.

If anyone would like to bring an instrument to play (guitar, fiddle, banjo or whatever) please do so.

A baseball game is also possible, if enough people bring gloves.

The fireworks show will begin at approximately 9 p.m. so bring your lawn chairs maybe some bug spray and come out to Novice and enjoy some fireworks this 4th of July.

No personal fireworks please!
