By: Andrew Carlson
Updated: June 27, 2012
A small fire damaged two downtown businesses in the Fisher County community of Rotan on Tuesday.

Assistant Chief Randy Martin of the Rotan Volunteer Fire Department says an electrical short behind White's True Value Hardware Store resulted in a small fire in some insulation inside a wall of the neighboring Family Dollar store.

Both businesses remained closed on Wednesday until repairs are completed.
