If you don't have one then it's never to late to make the first family quilt. There is a place in Clyde that can help you...
At The Feathered Star in downtown Clyde quilting is alive and well and growing piece by piece.
Shaula Patton opened the store in 2010, and it has been going strong ever since
Patton helps with ideas and holds quilting workshops
Quilters from all around come to her shop
She says when she first bought the building her husband and sons all pitched in to worked on it.
She took aspects of her other job as a professor at Harden Simmons and brought it in to her shop.
You can even see her love of history in her store
And of course there is the reason why she opened The Feathered Star: her love of quilting
So if you wanted to compare her shop to one of quilts, it would not be hard to make the connection.
Patton has taken all aspects of her life, from family and friends to her hobbies and stitched them together in downtown Clyde.
