Dave Campbell's 2012 Texas Football Magazine is on the shelves. It's time to see who stands where in the upcoming high school season with a quick look at the key highlights.

We start with a name you will find plenty of times over- Hagen Hutchinson. The Stamford Bulldog Quarterback may be entering his Senior season off of shoulder injury, but its done nothing to his credability. He's the Coverboy for Class 1A and a Gridiron Player of the Year to watch, as well as the Utility Player in Dave Campbell's Super Team.

The Cliff Notes for Hagen Hutchinson: The Preseason All State Quarterback for 1A, Stamford is ranked 2nd in Class 1A DI.

Staying with Class 1A, Munday's Dee Paul making his own presence, after helping to carry his team to another State finals game, Dee Paul was named the Preseason class1A Player of the Year and Offensive Player of the Year.

Dee Paul also earning All State honors as a Utility player, Munday is ranked 1st in Class 1A DII.

To Class 2A. The Cisco Loboes are ranked 3rd in Class 2A DII top 10. The Loboes are lead by Senior Colten Gayle who is the Preseason Offensive MVP and Junior Mason Reed who is the Defensive MVP for Class 4-2A DII.

Other things going in on class 2a- merkel's baylor mullins makes the preseason all state team as a kicker, mason reed as a utility player.. and after going undefeated through the regular season and not losing its first game until the playoffs, the eastland mavericks not in the top 10 for class 2a division one.

In 5A, the AHS Eagles are ranked 14th in Class 5A Top 25. Abilene High's Xavier Johnson named to the Preseason All State Team as a DB, and Evin Abbe is named the Offensive MVP for 2-5A. Cooper's Fred Lawrence was named Defensive Player of the Year for 2-5A.

And lastly, Abilene Christian High School Head Coach Mark Coley named the 2011 High School Coach of the Year for Private Schools.
