Focus on Faith: Freedom Celebration

By: Marlisa Goldsmith
Updated: June 27, 2012
Churches are coming together this holiday weekend for the second annual freedom celebration.

It is a cooperative service between First Christian, Brook Hollow Christian, and Wylie Chrsitan Churches.

This year it will be held at Hollow Brook Christian Church at 23rd Street and Willis.

Pastor Hargrave says the event is an effort to come together to worship and fellowship on the July 4th weekend.

"Part of the reason for it is simply to have an opportunity to come together  to worship and fellowship and we chose the July fourth weekend in order to do that. Figuring that would be a good time to come all together on a holiday weekend and celebrate together," says Hargrave.

This Sunday, at 9 a.m. there will be a continental breakfast in the fellowship hall, followed by a worship service in the sanctuary at 10 a.m.
