A concerned citizen alerted Abilene police to a home burglary earlier this month.

Abilene police say 21-year-old Edward Clark Brown, III was arrested after a concerned citizen saw him and a young female accomplice taking items out of another person's home.

The victim of the burglary arrived just before police, sending the suspected burglars fleeing to a nearby residence.

When police arrived, they confirmed that the victim had been burglarized and contacted Brown outside the nearby residence where police later found the stolen property.

Brown was arrested for burglary of a habitation and 11 outstanding municipal warrants, and the young female was also charged with burglary of a habitation and taken to the Juvenile Detention Center.
