A two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Coleman and the frontage road of Highway 377S under the Truman Harlow Overpass sent one to the hospital Thursday afternoon.

The driver of a Ford Mustang traveling northeast on Coleman collided with a Dodge Ram 2500 King Cab pickup which was traveling south on the frontage road shortly before 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Police on scene said the Mustang sustained major damage to its front end after it struck the passenger side of the front bumper of the other vehicle and spun around. The female driver of the Mustang and her male passenger were uninjured from the collision.

Although the pickup sustained only minor damage, its male driver complained of back pain and was transported to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center for evaluation of his injuries. The male passenger of the pickup was also reported to be uninjured.

Brownwood Fire Department, Brownwood Police Department and Guardian EMS responded to the scene.
