The Taylor County Sheriff's Department say they will have no tolerance for anyone they find breaking fireworks rules this year.

Sheriff's officers ask residents who plan to use fireworks outside of city limits to use your best judgement.

It is a class C misdemeanor to set off fireworks from a roadway, within 600 feet of a church, childcare center or school within 100 feet of a place where flammable liquids are stored, within 100 feet of where fireworks are stored or sold, or in, at or from a motor vehicle.
