Commanders of the 317th Airlift Group scheduled a 16-ship training exercise today.
The flight crews are getting ready to launch a 16-ship formation of the new C-130J model cargo planes, the biggest flight of C-130Js ever launched.
The Dyess officers say it will demonstrate the capabilities of the big cargo planes, which they were selected to receive dozens of.
The new C-130Js are bigger and faster than the previous C-130H model.
