Annoyed at Work? You're Far from Alone

Let's face it - work isn't always fun and many of us have a love hate relationship with our jobs.  But a Citrix study shows certain workplace irritations make time in the office  even more unbearable.

One of the top complaints is pesky coworkers. More than half of workers cite a "constant complainer" as the worst type of colleague to deal with.  49% say they work with "know it alls". And 40% have to watch what they say in the office because of gossip mongers.

The survey also says bad bosses can make the workplace toxic as well, but they're not all the same.  The number one worst type of boss is one who steals  employees' ideas. "Know-it-alls"  and those who ignore you can also lower worker morale. No wonder 30% of workers say they schedule vacation time around their bosses' breaks just to avoid them.

And when employees can't get time off, excuses come into play.  Health issues are the most common type of excuse, but sometimes things can get a little extreme.  Citrix's list of bizarre worker tell-tales range from "i'm dieting" to "it's elvis' birthday" to "my numerologist told me not to come in."  And finally, here's one you should never try out on your boss --  " My bicycle ran out of gas".
