Ice Cream Truck Robbed in North Abilene

An unusual robbery occurred in Abilene around 8:00 Monday night.

Police say they received a call from an ice cream truck driver saying he had been held up.

According to the driver, he was flagged down near North Ninth and Clack streets, and Instead of asking for ice cream, the man asked for money.

The driver turned over the cash and called police.

The ice cream truck driver wasn't hurt.
