Police arrested a man after a chase in south Abilene Monday night.

When an officer stopped a car near South 15th and Woodard Street around 11:15 Monday night, the two people in the car jumped out and ran.

The officer captured 27-year-old Randall Don Martin, but the other man escaped.

Police say they found a clear pipe in the car that tested positive for methamphetamine.

Martin was charged with trying to evade capture and drug possession.
