Updated: July 3, 2012
Abilene police have made a fifth arrest in connection to a burglary in April of this year.

Summer Brewer and Michael Xavier Gonzalez were arrested after a neighbor spotted them breaking into a home in the 1700 block of Westmoreland.

When they tried to drive away they got a flat and their car started leaking, allowing police to follow the trail of fluid to an alley where the suspects were located.

A few days later, Alexx R. Cooper and Lamar D. Sonnier were also arrested after admitting to their part in the burglary.

Now more than a month later, Candace Camille Bailey was arrested in connection to the same burglary and is in jail on a $20,000 bond.

According to court records, Bailey says she did not participate in the crime, but was in the car at the time and ran from police. She also hid some of the items from the burglary in her home.

Most of the items from the burglary were recovered.
