Fire Reignites in Potosi 1 Week After Being Put Out

The 4th of July parade in Potosi almost didn't happen this year because of a residential grass fire that occurred Tuesday evening in the area.
The Potosi Fire Department says a man had a burn pile going in his yard last week, and even after dousing it with water, it reignited to start the fire last night.
The man was taken to the hospital due to heat exhaustion and smoke inhalation.
No structures were damaged and no one was badly injured. The fire department urges people to use extreme caution with fireworks this year, as fires can easily reignite weeks and even months after they are sprayed down.
