Snyder Firefighters Kept Busy with Fireworks Calls

The first fire started at 3:22 p.m. at 4203 College Ave. Two trucks and 14 firefighters responded and extinguished the small grass fire, which was started by a smoke bomb.
At 10:30 p.m., fireworks were the cause of a small grass fire at 1066 N. College Ave. Three trucks and 18 firefighters responded.
At 1:22 a.m. today, three trucks and 16 firefighters responded to a storage building fire at 3717 Rose Circle, also ignited by fireworks.
The building was a total loss and the fence and two storage buildings on adjacent properties were damaged.
Scurry County continues to be under a burn ban.
