Fireworks kept the Snyder Fire Department hopping on the Fourth of July, with three blazes started thanks to smoke bombs and firecrackers.

At 10:30 p.m., fireworks were the cause of a small grass fire at 1066 N. College Ave. Three trucks and 18 firefighters responded.

At 1:22 a.m. today, three trucks and 16 firefighters responded to a storage building fire at 3717 Rose Circle, also ignited by fireworks.
