Updated: July 5, 2012
The Abilene Animal Shelter has started adopting out the 19 malnourished and sick horses found in Ranger last month.

The second batch of animals this week was picked up on Thursday.

The shelter got the go-ahead earlier in the week when all the medical checks came back okay.

They say they are glad the animals will be placed in new homes.
