The Allsup's on North 10th and Willis was robbed Thursday morning, and police have arrested a suspect.

Witnesses say 24-year-old Lee Leija walked into the convenience store, announced the robbery, kicked down a few food stands and knocked over the cash register but did not get away with anything.

He was later arrested in the 1200 block of Briarwood and charged with robbery.

He is currently in the Taylor County Jail on a $40,000 bond.
