Many folks spent Saturday afternoon enjoying some free food, games and prizes, all for a good cause.

The American Legion Auxiliary held their annual Family Fun Day here in Abilene Saturday afternoon. A number of family's spent the time playing activities catered to both children and parents, including a dunking booth and pool tables. The event wrapped up with a cake walk auction, where all proceeds go to cancer aid and research.

"I think that we know that they are many people that are having problems with cancer and I think this gives them the opportunity to know that there are people that care and that want to help as much as they can and in any way they can" says Sandy Wosika, President of the American Legion Auxiliary, Unit 57.

All of the cakes used in the auction were either baked by the members or donated by local stores and bakeries.
