Coleman Crop Certification Deadline Closing In

By: ColemanNews.com
Updated: July 9, 2012
USDA Crop Certification Deadline for Coleman County is July 15, 2012.

Coleman County USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA) Executive Director Curtis L. Garrett reminds producers that the annual crop certification deadline for spring-seeded crops is July 15, 2012.

Producers who file accurate and timely reports for all crops and land uses, including failed acreage can prevent the potential loss of FSA program benefits.

"I encourage all producers to visit the Coleman County FSA office to file an accurate crop certification report by the July 15 deadline in order to comply with FSA program eligibility requirements," said Garrett.

Producers are also reminded to report crop losses insured through Federal Crop Insurance and the Noninsured Crop Disaster Assistance Program (NAP) within 15 days of the disaster or as soon as the loss is apparent.

Producers with interest in multiple counties should check the crop certification deadline for each county because there are three deadlines statewide.

For questions regarding crop certification and crop loss reports, please contact the Colman County FSA office at 325-625-4197 extension 2.
