Emergency responders were dispatched to a one-vehicle rollover accident late Monday morning.

The accident occurred around 11:45 a.m. on County Road 258 near the intersection with County Road 257 about five miles southeast of Brownwood and involved a Ford Explorer. Although the occupant of the vehicle was initially reported as trapped, the subject was out of the vehicle when law enforcement arrived.

Texas DPS officials said it appeared the vehicle flipped over and landed in shrubs off the side of the road, and the driver, who was wearing a seat belt, appeared uninjured and refused transport to the hospital.

Texas Department of Public Safety, Brown County Sheriff's office, Zephyr Volunteer Fire Department, and Brownwood Fire Department's Rescue 1 all responded to the scene.
