An Abilene man is out of jail Tuesday morning after leading police on an hour long foot chase near Catclaw Creek.

Abilene police caught 26-year-old Lee McKeever and arrested him for evading detention.

Authorities say they received calls that McKeever was reportedly armed, and when police arrived, they say McKeever jumped into Catclaw Creek and started swimming.

Police eventually arrested him in the 1700 block of Woodridge.

No weapons were ever found.
