Operation Blue Jeans Underway in Abilene

Operation Blue Jeans is underway in Abilene.
The clothing and school supplies drive is being held at the Christian Service Center at 901 Mesquite Street in abilene this week from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m.
Children from Abilene and the surrounding area will receive one pair of jeans, five pairs of socks and five pairs of underwear.
School supplies will also be given to school counselors who will then distribute them.
Parents can make an appointment by calling 325-673-7531.
The community can help by donating brown paper sacks with handles, children's clothing in good condition and backpacks.
Last year, more than 340 children received new clothes and over 2,200 kids were given school supplies.
