The Wylie Bulldogs may only be returning four starters on both sides of the ball, but their backfield is well taken care of...

With the Quarterback position up for grabs, Senior Tailback Garrett Martin is predicted to lead the offense for the Bulldogs.

Named the Preseason Offensive MVP by Dave Campbell's Football Magazine, Martin steps on the field as a Senior looking exceed his 2011 stats, which include over 12 hundred rushing yards and 12 touchdowns.

"I've been working on a bunch of stuff, a lot of guys have been working hard, and I've personally been trying to work on getting faster, bigger, pretty much everything. You always want to improve from last season. I think a lot of guys have personal goals, but our team goals are to make the playoffs, win district, and take it one game at a time."

Also in Garrett Martin's favor is experience on offensive line. The veteran line should only allow for more of a running game, lead by Martin in 2012.

"I have a bunch of linemen coming back, so we are looking for a great season.  We improced last season, so I'm looking for a great season this year."

Garrett Martin, our only Class 3A Player on our list of our top 10 Players To Watch Of 2012.
