Abilene Sees Slight Increase in Sales Tax Allocation

Abilene has received a slight increase in sales and use tax allocation for July.

According to the Texas Comptroller's City Sales and Use Tax Comparison Summary Report, Abilene has received a net payment of $3 million, a 0.88 percent increase from the same month last year.

That represents a positive change of 13.39 percent for 2012 compared to 2011 thus far. Abilene has seen $24.35 million in allocation payments compared to $21.47 million last year.
