Joy Finnegan believes in a healthy balance between diet and exercise.
She started juicing two years ago for the supposed health benefits, but she didn't dare sustain on just juice alone for long.
After two days, she said she is so hungry she has to have food.

So imagine if Joy would have juiced for seven days straight?
It may sound impossible, but not for hordes of women forgoing food for a bottle of greens, carrots or blueberries in order to lose weight.

Dr. Yana Finkelstyn from Methodist Sugar Land Hospital says as far as weight loss goes,  juice diets are low in calories and people may feel great because they lost ten pounds in one week, but are they going to gain it right back, just like any low calorie super diet.

She recommends juicing in moderate amounts as a supplement or a single meal replacement, not as a cleanse or detox.
