From the first timers.

"I'm excited, it's gonna make me wanna do it again," says Dale Green, who came all the way from Oklahoma City.

To the fanatics.

"I've been to all of them, and I've just enjoyed every one of them," says Alicia Acuna.

To the godfather.

"Well they named me. I didn't name myself, and that happened when I was doing number 38," says Juan Sierra Jr.

Whether they're here for the free food, the experience, or just along for the ride. The "First 100 Celebration" gives a whole new meaning to "grand opening".

Elva Maldonado Cummings says, "I decided to come out today to get out of the home, and have fun, with all the Chick-Fil-A friends."

"I'm retired. So it's like a hobby," says Ruben Rivas.

Sierra adds, "You got five people and they say look, we'll put in for gas, you pitch in the car and the tent, and we'll go with you."

Since 2003, Chick-Fil-A has given the first 100 patrons in line before its locations grand opening a free one-year supply of meals. The parking lot here opened at 6 this morning.

"This gives us a great incentive to come to Chick-Fil-A to eat because they give us 52 free meal combo tickets," says Acuna.

It's been brutally hot, but the sizzling temps aren't burning out any spirits. Especially to a veteran who remembers one of his first camp outs quite vividly.

Rivas adds, "Those days were super, super, super hot. This is nothing."
