Man Dies in Stephens Co. Oil Field Accident

The Stephens County Sheriff's Office was
called to the scene of an oil field accident early Thursday morning.
Sheriff's Office Deputies were dispatched to an oil field site located on FM 2231 south of Breckenridge at approximately 7:30 a.m.
An employee of Breck Operating Corp. was reported missing to other employees on Thursday morning.
The employees found 62-year-old Danny Howk at a well location where it is believed he went to service the pump jack.
Investigators believe Howk sustained injuries that caused his death while working on the unit.
Howk was taken to the Tarrant Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy.
The investigation is ongoing, and OSHA is sending a representative to the area to conduct an investigation.
