It was this time last year when we weren't sure who would take the starting Quarterback job for the Abilene High Eagles.

It's amazing how things can change in a year. Not only has Evin Abbe grown into a leader for the Eagles, but he is the best returning Quarterback in 2-5A.

"I just try to stay calm and lead them, and don't ever let the emotions get too high or too low," Adds Abbe, "I let them know that I am always here, and that we can do anything."

Pegged as the Preseason Offensive MVP for the District, his numbers exceed the rest. Abbe had over 29 hundred total yards, 4 rushing touchdowns and 24 passing touchdowns with only 5 interceptions.

"He rallies the guys and gets them where they are supposed to be, he's being like a coach on the field, and we like that."

With as much success he had as a junior, taking his team to a district title and to the post season quarter finals, there is great anticipation to see what #12 can do his second year in the pocket.

Abilene High Quarterback, Evin Abbe. A definite Big Country Homepage Player To Watch in 2012.
