Bobcat Discovered in Neighborhood Euthanized Friday

By: Nora Hartfeil
Updated: July 15, 2012
Abilene Animal Services was called to come pick up the wild bobcat from the residence on the 2300 block of Graham Street.

They performed a health evaluation on the bobcat and found the animal to be very thin, lethargic, and covered with wounds. They decided to humanely euthanize the bobcat as it was too sick to be released back into the wild.

Abilene Animal Services also tells us it's not uncommon for bobcats and other critters to enter into city limits once in a while, especially near creeks.
