"I just think being around football my whole life, you know, my brothers have played and I've just been up here a the field house since I was old enough to be up here," said Merkel's Baylor Mullins. He added, "Just being around it helps a lot."

There will hardly be a time when you won't see Merkel's Do-it-All Senior Baylor Mullins on the football field.

#12 goes from the Quarterback position, to safety, to kicker to punter.  Last season Baylor racked up over 12 hundred total yards and 20 touchdowns.

"Baylor is a coach's kid that has been around a long time, but actually being on the field and making those decisions in a quick manner, last year was his first year to play quarterback on the varsity level and I feel like he's come a long ways and hopefully this year he will be better at making those decisions and reads." Says Head Coach Kieth Mullins.

He also had 77 tackles and 6 interceptions. Was named the district MVP Last season, and was named the Preseason Defensive MVP by Dave Campbells. But more impressively was Baylor's accomplishments on Special Teams. As the kicker for the Badgers, he was 3-3 in field goals, 39-49 in extra points, and averaged 43.3 yards per punt. With those numbers, it landed him a spot on the 2A All-State team.

"Ever Since he was little, coming to the football field as a coach's kid and kicking and punting the ball. hes never really had any technical coaching in punting or kicking, but does a great job." Adds Coach Mullins.

"At a small school like this you dont really practice it much So I try to do the best I can, and when you have the time, But I like kicking and punting its fun."

In his final season as a Merkel Badger, look for Baylor Mullins to step up his game, and we promise, he wont be very hard to find.
